Key Responsibilities
To support the company in all areas of Operations. The MS or SS is expected to work with Duty Officers, Controllers and Security Coordinators and adopt a “can do” attitude solving problems prior to them escalating.
The MS & SS should lead by example and be consistent in work output and adhering to company policies. Integrity is required and MS and SS should be beyond reproach.
Ensure that all sites within your remit are adequately patrolled and logged on the patrol sheets
To ensure the you follow SOPs by doing proper handover and take over to the incoming MS or SS each shift without fail
Due to the nature of work the MS and SS, you should be contactable 24 hours per day, 7 days per week in case any emergency or request for information is required. This applies when off duty. Being in contact is important in our operations.
The MS and SS should check that all posts have written and specific post orders, that they report any breaches or non-conformances. Guards should be aware of their specified duties.
Report turn-out deficiencies (absentees, abandoning post, switching of off-days, switching of shifts without authorization) are charged and escalated to the DO.
Ensure than sick guards follow the specified company procedure, inform the company when sick and produce a medical report specifying their permitted absence, signed and stamped by a doctor. The sick note MUST be submitted to the DO as soon as possible.
Attend to pay queries before escalating to the HR or DO. The MS or SS should know how the officers are paid and be able to explain the pay cycle accurately. Officers are not permitted to speak to the client about pay issue or any company matters unless instructed to do so.
Always represent the company as a professional and pro-active organization and be in your uniform clean and tidy
Whilst visiting client locations as a MS, identify any security lapses, risks or hazards that may cause a loss to the client or the company. Ensure the SS is directed how to correct these lapses and advice the DO of the same. Such lapses should be reported to the Operations Manager by the DO promptly.
Monitor the specific threats and risks that are reported from the field and any anticipated elevation or current threats are to be reported to the Operations Manager.
Qualifications & Experience
Full G12 Certificate
Additional relevant Security Training will be an added advantage
Proven experience working in a Supervisory role for at least 12 months
