Paediatric Nurses

Job Purpose

• To provide nursing care to sick children.
• To record children’s vital signs and lab results.
• To communicate with children of different abilities and developmental levels about their symptoms, talking to patients and their families about medical issues.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients.
• Monitor and assess the health and development of children.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to plan and implement care for pediatric patients.
• Educate and support families on child health and well-being.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for pediatric patients.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse licensed (GNC) in Zambia.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Paediatric Nurse Certification is a plus.
• Previous experience in paediatric nursing preferred.
• Compassion, patience, and a strong commitment to child healthcare.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
