Tyre-King is one of the leading, specialized automobile Tyre retailers in Zambia, and is currently operating in fifteen (15) Tyre sales and fitment outlets in Zambia. Tyre King is continuing to grow and expand its footprint in Zambia. We are looking for a TRANSPORT OFFICER to manage, execute, direct, and coordinate all transport activities within the organization. The duration of the contract for this appointment is 12 months renewable subject to satisfactory performance.

PURPOSE OF TRANPORT OFFICER

To provide timely delivery of cargo and cost-effective management of Tyre King transport and logistics. To maintain relevant records and compile appropriate reports to help with managing costs and improving efficiencies.

MAIN ROLES:

• Transport and distribution planning, procedures & policies;
• To manage driver authorization and performance;
• To manage the usage of Tyre King motor vehicles;
• To update the TK Geotab platform/Zoning.
• To generate system & manual transport management reports;
• To monitor and manage motor vehicle maintenance, servicing, repairs and statutory compliances.
• To manages transport costs;
• To carry out supervisory duties;

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Certificate in CILT or equivalent
• Minimum of two (2) years work experience in a similar role or equivalent.
• Knowledge in use of Geotab will be an added advantage.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Paid up member of the Chattered Institute of Logistics & Transport (CILT) or any related professional body.

Must provide at least three traceable referees and provide the same in the CV

• *The suitable candidate must be able to practically demonstrate proficiency in Geotab and Ms Excel.
