The Liaison Officer is responsible for building and maintaining relationships between their organization and other groups or individuals. They commonly work with government agencies, but they may also interact with private companies or non-profit organizations.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Establishing / Facilitating the communication with government agencies, ministries, departments and build relations with the same for various kind of requirements of the organisation related to all projects
  • Establishing / Facilitating the communication with private organisations, entities, corporate houses and build relations with the same for various kind of requirements of the organisation related to all projects
  • Communicate with the public on behalf of their company or organisation
  • Deliver press or media releases in a public forum
  • Attend and speak at various meeting
  • Act as a point of contact for the organisation with government departments, agencies and various private organisations, corporate houses etc.
  • Research and write reports and other correspondence to facilitate communication with government departments, agencies and various private organisations, corporate houses etc.
  • Assist with company briefing
  • Identify communication issues within their company or organisation
  • Work alongside other departments to aid in communication with government departments, agencies and various private organisations, corporate houses etc
  • Keep a contacts list with relevant people from other government agencies, companies or organisations
  • Meet with people from other agencies, companies or organisations
  • Foster positive relationships with other professionals in the industry

CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION

  • Experience: 3 years plus
  • Education Level: Degree
  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in mass communication or relevant field, master’s degree in relevant field is preferred.
  • Knowledge Of: Mining Sector, public relation
  • Skills To: Problem-solving, Effective Communication, Organizational skills
  • Ability To: Adaptability, Active Listening
