REPORTS TO: Restaurant Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:

To be successful as a waiter/waitress you must have the endurance to stand for long hours and have patience with difficult customers.

A good waiter anticipates the needs of customers and provides all services in a friendly manner.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Welcoming and sitting guests, taking guest food and beverages.
  • Able to copy up with pressure
  • Help the guests with the menu and make recommendations and inform patrons of any specials.
  • Provide checks and gather bill payments with effective communication.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional with difficult customers.
  • Endurance to walk and stand for long hours, cash up bills, and ensure that the correct amount has been paid

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • 2 year’s work experience as waiter/waitress or in a similar position with excellent customer service.
  • Certificate in general Hospitality/Diploma added advantage 2 year’s work experience as waiter/waitress or in a similar position with excellent customer service.
