The National Assembly of Zambia invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following vacant positions:

SENIOR HANSARD EDITOR (X1)

The core responsibility of the Senior Hansard Editor is to provide quality control in processing Official Verbatim Reports of the National Assembly of Zambia. As per the core mandate of the Publications Department, to produce timeous and accurate reports, the Senior Hansard Editor ensures that the reports of the Assembly are captured accurately.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Full Grade 12 Certificate with at least merit in English language and credit or better in four (4) other subjects
• At least 3 years’ work experience in editorial work
• Bachelor’s degree in English language; and
• Master’s degree in linguistics will be an added advantage.

KEY ATTRIBUTES AND SKILLS

• Excellent writing skills with the ability to accurately summarise and convey complex information;
• Ability to use online multimedia tools;
• Strong team ethic and collegial approach to work with colleagues; and
• Excellent time management
