DEVELOPMENT AND MARKETING MANAGER (1 POSITION) – LUSAKA

JOB PURPOSE

Reporting to the Director General, the Development and Marketing Manager will be responsible for organizing, fundraising, coordinating, publicizing Board programmes, mobilizing resources to supplement government funding to ensure sustainability of Board programmes.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Planning activities and devise marketing strategies for the Board programmes in collaboration with cooperating partners and government;
• Initiates and co-ordinates income generating activities for Board fundraising programmes to ensure to ensure smooth operation to supplement government funding;
• Markets Board activities for public awareness and visibility;
• Writes project proposals for donor and government support;
• Establishes linkages/synergies and networks with potential partners;
• Complies quarterly and annual reports for the action and attention of the Director General.

REQUIREMENTS

• Full Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Studies, Marketing, Mass Communication and Project Management
• MA/MSc in rea levant field will be an added advantage
• 5 years of post-qualifying experience at the Senior Management level
• Proposal writing, Project Management Skills, Negotiation skills and Marketing skills Knowledge of Museums practices
• Must be a member of a recognized professional body
• Must be 35 years and above
