The key purpose of this role is to provide specialized electrical artisan skill and knowledge to the shift team, and to support the operations, maintenance of the Packaging plant. Perform and assist in problem solving and the execution including coaching of other team members and support asset care activities.

Key Outputs and Responsibilities:

  • Maintain tools
  • Locate plant, equipment, spares and relevant documentation
  • Carry out repairs/maintenance
  • Plan budget and prepare the job
  • Maintain housekeeping and safety standards
  • Maintain a safe and healthy working environment
  • Maintain, repair and optimise plant and associated devices
  • Work in teams

Key Attributes and Competencies:

  • Outstanding communication and team-orientation skills.
  • Knowledge of servos and related controllers including hydraulic, pneumatic, and temperature controls.
  • Superior attention to safe work practices.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Passionate about maintenance and troubleshooting while working in a fast paced environment.

Education:

Min – advanced certificate (Electrical, instrumentation or automation)

Experience:

  • 3 to 4 years ‘experience troubleshooting AC/DC drives and high-speed computer-controlled production machinery.
  • Added advantage in siemens S7 PLC programming and troubleshooting experience required.
