Role Summary

Reporting to the Dewatering Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of both diesel and electric high volume water pumps. Your duties will include but not limited to the following:

Job Responsibilities

• You will ensure the pumps are in good running condition
• Responsible for maintaining the pump side while maintenance team is responsible for the engine side of diesel pumps, you will report the former to your supervisor and the later to maintenance
• You will supervise pipe layers to ensure water reaches in production faces
• You will be responsible for couching pipe layers to have a basic understanding of the various pump components and conduct a pre-start checklist

Experience & Qualifications

• MUST possess a valid silicosis certificate
• MUST have Craft Certificate in Mechanical Fitting from a recognized institution
• Relevant experience with high volume dewatering diesel and electric pumps
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience practicing the craft
• Member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia or able to obtain it within 1 month
• Proven ability to deliver results and provide leadership to personnel
• Possession of class B manual driving license will be an added advantage
