The Zambia Daily Mail is a Limited Company wholly owned by the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC). The Company is incorporated under the Companies Act, number 10 of 2017 of the Laws of Zambia. It is one of the leading publishers of daily newspapers in Zambia.

Advertising Manager

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Individual to fill the vacancy of Advertising Manager to lead our sales team in sales management of online and hard copy newspaper advertising and commercial printing portfolios of the Company.

1.1 Responsibilities

a) To develop detailed business plans for sales and to manage organizational sales, from reviewing its expenses to generating enough sales for the company.

b) Creating several sales teams and setting both group targets and team targets for the sales division,

c) To achieve the desired sales goal targets on time.

dj To expand the customer’s base.

e) Managing an effective sales team and training, mentoring them and in the process, boost their performance.

f) Responsible for creating an effective sales proposal for the benefit of clients.

g) Responsible for increasing the organization’s visibility and reaching out to targeted demographics.

h) To develop an effective business strategy for organizational sales and to help boost performance

1.2 Requirements

a) Full Grade 12 certificate

b) Minimum of Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, ZIM Certified Professional Marketing Programme, ZW Professional Diploma in Marketing or Chartered Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing (CIM)

c) Atleast, five (5) years proven experience as Advertising Manager or in a similar advertising role.

d) In-depth knowledge of advertising principles, strategies, and industry trends.

e) Strong understanding of various advertising channels, both traditional and digital.

g) Proficient in using advertising platforms, analytics tools, and project management software.

8) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams.

h) Exceptional creativity and problem-solving abilities. i) Strong leadership and people management skills.

j) Experience in budgeting and sales forecasting.

k) Experience in customer relationship building and management.

1) Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

m) Membership of Zambia Institute of Marketing (ZIM)
