The Company has vacancies for various positions and is now inviting suitably qualified and ambitious Zambians to apply and be considered for the positions.
We are currently seeking a self motivated individual to fill the position of Purchasing Clerk to join our Organisation.
a) Assist the Procurement and Supplies Manager in the general day to day running and management of the Procurement Office
b) Process purchase orders and ensure timely procurement of goods and services.
c) Conduct research and source potential suppliers to obtain competitive prices and quality products.
d) Collaborate with internal stakeholders to determine procurement needs and specifications.
e) Evaluate and compare supplier proposals, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effectiveness.
f) Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and delivery information.
g) Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure optimal stock levels.
h) Handle vendor inquiries, resolve issues, and maintain positive relationships.
i) Assist in analyzing purchasing trends and implementing strategies to improve efficiency.
j) Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and new product developments.
a) Full grade 12 certificate
b) Minimum professional qualification Diploma in Purchasing and Supply from ZIPS recognised institution; degree in purchasing and supply from a recognised university will be an added advantage.
c) Min 3 years proven experience as a purchasing clerk in a busy organisation or in a similar procurement role is preferred.
d) Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
e) Ability to generate management reports
f) Knowledge of the Public Procurement Act No. 8 of 2020 and the Public Procurement Regulations, 2020 a must.
g) Knowledge of procurement processes, procedures, and best practices.
h) Familiarity with vendor management and negotiation techniques.
i) Proficient computer skills, including MS Office and purchasing software.
j) Excellent communication, team spirit and strong and interpersonal skills.
k) Valid ZIPS Membership a must
