The Zambia Daily Mail is a Limited Company wholly owned by the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC). The Company is incorporated under the Companies Act, number 10 of 2017 of the Laws of Zambia. It is one of the leading publishers of daily newspapers in Zambia.

The Company has vacancies for various positions and is now inviting suitably qualified and ambitious Zambians to apply and be considered for the positions.

We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Stores Clerk to join our growing team.

6.1 Responsibilities

a) Assist the Procurement and Supplies Manager in the general day-to-day running and management of the Stores and Warehouses

b) Arrange to receive, inspect, certify and properly store incoming goods and supplies.

c) Ensure accurate and efficient inventory management by conducting regular stock counts and reconciliations

d) Identity any slow-moving and redundant stocks and recommend to management for appropriate action

e) Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.

f) Collaborate with other departments to fulfil internal supply requests in a timely manner.

e) Monitor stock levels and generate reports on inventory status

h) Perform data entry tasks related to inventory control and management.

i) Adhere to health and safety guidelines in all Stores and warehouse operations.

j) Carry out periodic and annual stock take functions

6.2 Requirements

a) Full grade 12 certificate.

b) Minimum professional qualification Diploma in Purchasing and Supply from a ZIPS recognised institution; degree in purchasing and supply from a recognised university will be an added advantage

c) Knowledge of the Public Procurement Act No. 8 of 2020 and the Public Procurement Regulations, 2020 a must.

d) Min 3 years proven experience as a stores clerk in a busy organisation or similar role is preferred.

e) Strong organizational and time management skills.

f) Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.

e) Proficient computer skills, including MS Office applications.

h) Excellent communication, teamwork abilities and interpersonal skills

i) Knowledge of inventory control principles and procedures is a plus.

j) Valid ZIPS Membership a must
