Director Finance-3 Years Contract
Department: Finance
Overall purpose of the job
To manage financial resources for the Company in order to ensure prudent utilisation and achievement of objectives.
Key responsibilities among others include:
- Managing effectively the development of financial management policies, systems and procedures in order to ensure accurate and reliable financial reports and complying with statutory requirements and international accounting standards.
- Managing effectively the preparation of financial reports and statements in order to provide information to stakeholders and complying with statutory requirements.
- Ensuring timely preparation and monitoring of corporate budget in order to control costs and providing a basis for resource mobilization.
- Managing timely preparation of management accounts in order to provide information for management control and decision making.
- Managing effectively treasury management in order to maintain an appropriate Company cash position and facilitate investment activities.
- Ensuring timely engagement with external auditors and provision of financial statements in order to facilitate effective auditing
- Managing effectively the fixed asset register in order to safeguard company properties and ensure an up-to-date record
- Managing timely processing of corporate payroll in order to comply with statutes and Conditions of Service.
- Overseeing effectively processing of payments in order to comply with statutory, regulatory and contractual obligations
Qualifications and experience
- Full form V/Grade 12 School Certificate
- Full ACCA/CIMA/CA-Zambia
- Member of ZICA
- 10 years experience with 5 years at Management Level
- A valid SADC Driving License will be an added advantage
