Warehouse Shift Controller

The Processing Data Team Lead will be responsible for processing daily stock dispatch in SAGE, monitor frozen stock in reefers, accountable for processing supplies and materials and coordinates with Health, Safety and Environment team to dispose damaged fish stock.

The Key responsibilities will include:

• Supervises Data Capturers across processing.
• Ensures all data captured is accurate and complete correct data entry errors in MYSQL.
• Responsible for ensuring quality & timely reporting of all data coming out of the processing plant; including:
• Fresh Grading, Freezing, Further Processing
• Dispatch data
• Stock Data (book vs physicals of fresh & frozen)
• Productivity
• Consumable data (including orders, usage, receipt, stock levels)
• Checks that all stock transactions in Sage are complete and accurate.
• Communicates targets, plans to direct reports well.
• Collaborates with other processing sections.
• Ensures basic maintenance standards and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Initiates projects to improve data capture processes and reduce stock loss.
• Supports users of softwares currently existing in Processing plant and is the subject matter expert.
• Manages new projects of software development and implementation to formalize & improve quality of data coming out of processing plant.
• This includes speaking directly with developers,
• Coming up with project plans,
• Designing databases etc.
• Problem solves MYSQL Server issues or other issues relating to data storage with D&A or ICT when they arise.
• Builds tools (in Excel, Power BI, etc.) to improve quality, transparency & insights from information coming out of processing plant.
• Troubleshoots software problems and escalates them to the ICT team
• Works closely with finance team to investigate & reduce stock losses.

Minimum Qualification & Experience:

• Grade 12 certificate.
• Economics, Computer Studies, Information Technology or related fields
• 2 years’ experience as data analyst or database management / etc
• Project management experience a plus
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in database administration
