Yalelo is seeking an Assets & Planning Specialist to ensure maintenance data is consistently and accurately recorded in the system. He/She will also be responsible for assessing the data and use the results to fine-tune maintenance practices. This data includes but not limited to farm assets, preventive maintenance schedules, work order requests and spares inventory.

The role is based in Siavonga.

This role will be responsible for:

  • Initiating, following up and driving all Production Capex requisitions
  • Providing timeous feedback and flag when items are held up in the process
  • Interfacing with Stores and Procurement, providing on the ground insight to assist with prioritization and managing stock levels
  • Preventative maintenance planning/scheduling, real time asset register update and other inventory record keeping tasks.
  • Support for OpEx and CapEx projects in the planning of spares, tools, and other requirements.
  • Developing detailed work plans with all sequences involved to adequately complete repairs, including equipment down time and man hours required.
  • Determines the cost involved for parts and supplies for each work order
  • Orders all non-stock spare parts and materials as required by the job plan
  • Actively participating in weekly work order/project milestone reviews and weekly scheduling debrief with the Engineering manager.

Minimum Qualification & Competences:

  • Degree in Engineering
  • Grade Twelve (12) Certificate
  • Professional Engineer license needed (EIZ)
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Engineering Maintenance Planning, Scheduling and assets tracking
  • Experience in Project Management, Engineering Equipment Maintenance and Repair a plus
  • Experience working in an FMCG Industry is an added advantage
  • Engineering Operations Management Training
  • Occupational Safety, First Aid Training

This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate must be available to work weekdays and weekends including rotational shifts.
