Job Description

Business Manager – Pestalozzi Education Centre/Enko Education

You will be responsible for coordinating all non-academic activities and will be reporting to the Head of School and work closely with the Enko Central office.

Your scope of activity will include:

  • Maintaining the school’s accounting up-to-date and according to standards
  • Ensure that school payments are up to date and that there is a fluent relationship with financial institutions
  • Ensure that the financial planning and the reporting to the Finance Department is done with the appropriate level of detail
  • Ensure that the school’s finances are compliant with national tax laws and legal regulations along with international and group standards
  • Ensure that employment contracts are compliant with national law and in line with Enko Education standards
  • Manage payroll timely and accurately
  • Manage both parents and employee relations with rigour, tact, and empathy
  • Ensure that the school’s administration is done efficiently and that the administrative files are well-organized
  • The school leadership team is continuously assisted regarding financial and human resources aspects
  • Coordinate facilities management and marketing activities
  • As a Business Manager, you will be leading the administrative staff at the school.

As an ideal candidate, you:

  • Are fluent in spoken and written English
  • Have a Bachelor’s/Master’s degree or equivalent in Accounting/Finance/Audit/Business Management related fields
  • Have exposure/experience in HR management with understanding of local labour laws
  • Have at least 2-3 years of work experience in similar profile
  • Have knowledge/understanding of tax laws and financial regulations in Zambia
  • Master Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets with data analysis skills
  • Are a good analytical thinker and you have a high attention to detail
  • Are objective-driven and able to work autonomously under minimal supervision
  • Are confident to interact with parents; able to handle pressure with composure
  • Are organized, know how to prioritize and multitask
  • Have experience in a large organization
  • Share our excitement and understand the challenges of offering affordable international education in Africa.
  • The applicant must be legally authorized to work in Zambia. Knowing about Zambia’s education landscape is a plus.
