St Ignatius College is a private non – profit Catholic Jesuit Secondary school located in ibex Hill Lusaka (Zambia) and wholly owned by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits). The College is seeking for an Intern who is a dynamic, motivated, enthusiastic and qualified individual to perform procurement functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
  • Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services
  • Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
  • Collaborate with key persons to ensure clarity of the specifications and expectations of the college
  • Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers
  • Expect unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies
  • Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
  • Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs


  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing and supply from a reputable University;
  • Two to Five years’ experience in procurement management
  • Professional affiliation a must
