Job Purpose

The Marketing Management Trainee will participate in implementing, and evaluating marketing activities in accordance with the annual marketing plan, and driving the Company’s vision of making products affordable and accessible to every African. And will also participate in ensuring successful

marketing program launches and operations in Zambia.

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the day-to-day management of digital channels, including websites, social media and emails, ensuring that visits, engagement, leads and conversions are optimised in line with the company’s strategic targets.
  • Ensure proper distribution and maintenance of all marketing collaterals across all business units. Especially at the retail level
  • Work with the Marketing Manager to manage all marketing activities and events
  • Assist with the plan & coordinate all branch launches and activations/events.
  • Ensures proper archiving of all marketing materials- receipts, print collaterals, promotional materials etc.
  • Perform market research identifying areas upon which to focus on
  • Create advertising plans and content to reach those demographics
  • Liaise with PR and Sales to organize promotional events or decide on the best advertising material that suits the set goals.
  • Conceiving and developing efficient and intuitive marketing strategies
  • Organizing and overseeing advertising/communication campaigns (social media, TV etc.), exhibitions and promotional events.
  • Assist with ensuring maximum visibility of all retail outlets nationwide by carrying out periodic signage audits
  • Plan, Monitor and manage in-store promotions
  • Monitor field marketing programs regularly to evaluate efficiency and effectiveness
  • Act as a primary contact to address questions and inquiries regarding market-related activities.
  • Ensure marketing materials meet quality and brand standards

Primary Areas of Accountability:

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Communications, or Business Administration
  • Marketing, Communication and Advertising Work experience of 1-2 years will be an added advantage
  • Must have an interest in Creative/Advertising Software
  • Must have conversant with popular Social Media and Digital Platforms
  • Good understanding of marketing and advertising methods and techniques
  • Must have ideas/knowledge of how to come up with an effective promotion or Product/Service Campaigns
  • Must be Social and outgoing
