Right to Care Zambia has been awarded a five (5) year project funded by the USAID through the PEPFAR mechanism. The USAID Action HIV Project aims to reduce HIV mortality, morbidity and transmission by achieving the UNAIDS and PEPFAR goal of 95/95/95 HIV treatment coverage by providing comprehensive HIV Prevention, Care and Treatment maintenance services in Luapula, Northern and Muchinga provinces of Zambia. The MECH project will work closely with and in support of the Ministry of Health.

Minimal Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Full Grade 12 School Certificate
  • BA degree in Business, Administration and other related fields
  • Minimum of five (5) year professional experience in a similar position preferably in the NGO sector

Technical And Behavioural Competencies:

  • Computer literacy (Microsoft windows & office applications)
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English
  • Honest, mature and sober character
  • Knowledge of USAID Rules and Regulations

Key Performance Areas:

  • To provide oversight of administrative and operations support to programs at provincial level and ensure compliance with RTCZ policies and donor requirements
  • Coordinate the timely preparation of procurement plans for the office and projects, establishing deadlines and monitoring implementation.
  • Implement an efficient and accurate inventory and stock management system.
  • Maintain appropriate and safe storage space for supplies awaiting distribution to the end users and field offices.
  • Facilitate the insurance of both old and new assets in the province.
  • Ensure safe and efficient transport of staff and materials/goods.
  • Coordinate the overall management of the provincial transport fleet and ensure response to programme needs are in line with RTCZ policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a general maintenance register for company equipment or machines with delivery timelines.
  • Work with other provincial functional heads to inspect and identify equipment or assets in need of repair.
  • Ensure all contracted works are duly signed off as completed and confirmed with end user.
