Job Description

Overview

Job Summary:

  • Ensure safety is complied with for all jobs
  • Inspect all motorbike mechanical systems, diagnose and repair defects correctly
  • Adhere to repair and maintenance requirements for motorbikes/quad bikes and other small 4-strokel and 2-stroke engines from light duty to heavy duty equipment, e.g., water pumps, generators, compressors, gensets
  • Capable of inspection and repair of electrical repairs pertaining to motorbikes
  • Conduct routine maintenance work (cleaning carburettors, fuel tanks, replacing filters and fluids, lubricating parts etc.) leading to equipment functionality and longevity
  • Schedule future maintenance sessions and advise riders/users on good equipment use
  • Repair or replace broken or defective parts and fix issues (e.g., leaks)
  • Provide accurate estimates (parts, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job
  • Keep record of all repair and maintenance on job cards
  • Maintain equipment and tools in good condition

Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years’ work experience as motorbike mechanic – experience in farm set up an added advantage
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of motorbikes
  • Possessor of a ‘Class A’ driving license with over five years of riding experience
  • Working knowledge of problem-solving methods/tools
  • Ability to handle various tools (e.g., pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g., lift)
  • Ability to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
  • Diploma/Certificate in motorbike mechanics
