Preamble:
UNICEF intends to deliver nutritional messages through the Care Group model that was used by CRS in its previous programs as the model has been identified as the main community-based platform for which the convergence of multisector nutrition interventions is possible. The Model aims at promoting the adoption of positive health and nutrition practices and consumption of nutrient dense, protein rich foods, with a focus on preventing malnutrition at household level. UNICEF therefore intends to incorporate this model in the implementation of SUN II /MCDP2 and so it has approached CRS to assist in taking up the role of providing technical and financial support to Government, through districts workplans.
CRS is looking for applicants to fill in the position of Provincial Program Managers under the SSM UNICEF supported project to be based in Chipata district of Eastern Province.
Job Summary:
The Provincial Program Manager (PPM) will serve as the main point of contact between CRS and district SUN II/MCDP2 implementation teams within Eastern province and relevant provincial level stakeholders. The PPM will provide technical support and inputs to the district teams as they implement their approved SUN II/MDP2 workplans. The Provincial Programme Manager is expected to provide overall programme oversight of the implementation of the district plans developed by district authorities and training in and rolling out of the Care Group Model.
