Assistant Accountant

Reporting to: Accountant

Minimum Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Zica technician or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Pastel.
• ZICA Membership a must
• Atleast two years hands on experience in the field of Accounting.

Key Performance Areas

• Perform daily accounting duties relating to petty cash, banking and preparation of payment vouchers.
• Prepare cashbook reconciliation.
• Invoicing and reconciliations of the receivables accounts as required.
• Preparation of monthly stock analysis report.
• Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register and computation of depreciation.
• Responsible for VAT and withholding Tax.
• Helping with month end close up process.

Technical and Behavioral Competences

• Strong financial accounting skills.
• Computer skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter.
• Able to work under pressure and with minimum supervision.
