The combination of the First Quantum and Inmet assets has created one of the world’s leading copper producers with a geographically diversified portfolio of high-quality operations and development projects in eight countries across five continents. With a strategic plan to produce more than 1 million tonnes per annum of copper within five years, the Company is poised to become the largest, widely-held pure-play copper producer and one of the top five copper producers in the world. This position will be required to adhere to all relevant requirements, policies, procedures and legal regulations pertaining to health, safety, environment and quality, as well as finance, human resources, and any other regulations as required by the company and relevant to the level of the role and responsibilities of the function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support for services infrastructure development
  • Ensure alignment to Group strategy through effective corporate governance
  • Oversee service providers within the function
  • Implementation and overseeing of the internal communication strategy
  • Support systems integration and standardization including access control and time and attendance
  • Management of record keeping system including quality control of all data.
  • Co-ordinate document control for the department
  • Co-ordination of site based infrastructure projects aligned to Corporate strategy
  • Provide training and development opportunities for all direct reports on an ongoing basis, with a particular focus on national employees
  • Develop a long term succession plan and take practical steps towards achieving this
  • Other duties as directed by the Manager


  • Minimum of a 3 year degree in a service oriented or administrative field
  • Experience
  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in service delivery
  • Experience in the Mining Industry will be an advantage
