Zambia National Commercial Bank Plc (Zanaco) is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals with relevant experience for the following job aimed at contributing to the Bank’s strategic vision, in the Commercial Division under the Retail Banking Department at Head Office:- HEAD – RETAIL PRODUCT SALES JOB PURPOSE Primarily accountable for driving balance sheet performance on both liabilities and assets and providing key enablers to the frontlines success in driving individual product sales including driving our staff banking proposition in all Corporate and Commercial clients. Owns overall P&L for all retail products and drives initiatives required to achieve the product marketing and sales strategy. Under the supervision of the Head Retail Banking, the following are among the Job Key Responsibilities:-
Responsibilities
Develop and implement the Retail sales strategy.
Establish an operating rhythm driving our staff banking proposition
Drive the marketing strategy complimenting all retails product sales
Own 3rd party partnerships that drive our product dominance
Drive product utilisation across all client segments
Actively manage retail balance sheet to ensure optimisation of returns
Establish retail products performance standards
Expand market share through product sales volumes
Set performance targets for the year i.e. number of funded accounts and sales implementation
Monitor account throughput per product - product contribution to portfolio
Propose and implement sales interventions per cluster, product mix and uptake
Perform lead role for all retail sales promotions, events and leads
To provide weekly accounts sales dashboards/trends and highlights to the Head Retail Banking
To be responsible for the growth and maintenance of retail assets portfolio
To ensure customer retention through cross selling, sales promotions, out-marketing calls, presentations and conversion of wholesale retail opportunities i.e. salary accounts, teachers accounts and pensions
Ensure adherence to customer complaints resolution and escalation
To conduct training for customer facing staff e.g. product knowledge, sales, complaints handling, process, operations, controls etc
To share knowledge and experience and best practice with team members in order to ensure that team performance complies with set service standards.

Qualifications
Grade 12 Credit or above mandatory in Mathematics and English and any other three subjects University Degree in relevant subject
MBA is an added advantage
Eight (8) years banking experience
